• Question: What is the most interesting thing that you found out from your research

      Oh that is a great question! I think learning about how the neurons connect in our brain, and how much of that goes on in the first 2 years of life. And learning about how important the environment around us is for the development of our brain!

      I think the most interesting thing I’ve found out is that measuring the masses of neutron stars is really, really hard, and quite often the answers people report in their publications aren’t entirely honest. It is always worth double checking other peoples work, as you never know when people are hiding something.

      This is a tough question! So there’s lots of interesting pieces, but one thing I found interesting is that solar panels in warm countries help to power air conditioning units. As the most sunshine is at the warmest part of the day, this helps to flatten the electricity demand curve in warmer countries. Also in Ireland too, when people use electricity to make lunch.

    I think the most interesting thing I found out that all the electronic waste that we produce on earth each year like all the waste coming out of laptops, smartphones, home appliances, electronics gadgets that we throw into recycling would have 55 Billion dollars worth of gold in it.
