Question: what has been your best experiment that you have ever done and did it take a while

My best experiment is currently on going, and I’ve been working on it for nearly 2 years. The goal of this experiment is to measure the mass of a star in a very faint system. In September 2018 we wrote a proposal to use one of the Very Large Telescope’s in Chile to take the data we would need. This proposal was accepted in December 2018, and the data were taken in June 2019. Since then, we’ve been analysing the data and coming up with a new way of explaining them. So it’s taken quite a while, but we’re nearly finished with it.
