      Yes, we often use microscopes in the lab. Some of the electronics is very small, and miscroscopes help to investigate it. For example, my very talented colleague managed to fit over 6000 antennas operating at extremely high frequency of 300 GHz on a wafer (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wafer_(electronics) ). The design was smaller than your palm! It would be impossible to see the antennas with a naked eye. What did you observe with your miscroscope?
